All Dressed Up!!

I had really wanted to some nice fall family pictures and my brother agreed to do some for us. Here are a few of my favorites. Its so hard to get a 1 year old to try and stay still, but she did so good and we had a lot of fun!!

This year for Halloween I dressed Little Miss Madison is 2 different costumes. We had 1 for the day which was Little Red Riding Hood and the 2nd was for going around the block and it was a cow. She had such a busy day going around to see family and friends and loved when people put candy into her basket.

We had so much fun taking her around the cul-du-sac but after a while she was ready for bed. Can't wait for next year!!!

Fall is here.....my favorite season. I just loving driving and looking around at the leaves changing color. This month we plan to do some family photos outside with all the beautiful colors and even just play in the leaves!!

This past week I finally went back to the gym. Its so hard to find the time to go and than I need to plan for someone to come and watch Madison. It feels good to finally start doing some exercise and get some more energy. Work has been very busy and keeps me running.....but enough about me.

Madison has been so busy the last few weeks she is just moving around like crazy!! Everyday she is learning new things, saying new words and just keeping you on your toes. Her favorite things seem to be chasing Mya around the house with her little stroller and reading books. If you are sitting on the floor for a second she is over with a book and sitting on your lap to read it. She only likes to read books that she picks out so you get to enjoy the same ones over and over!! She also loves to give loves to us, Mya and her toys.

Andrew had some time off during the long weekend so I decided to take a few days off so we could do a family trip. We ended up having 4 days off together so we took Madison down to the States. We have taken her down before and down day trips to Calgary. This however was our 1st family trip just the 3 of us overnight somewhere!! We went to Kailspell and drove over Logan's pass. Madison did so well for the long car ride. We got there and checked into the hotel and meet with Andrew's parents (who where doing a day trip with some friends) for supper. The next days we did some shopping. Shopping with a walking 1 year old is sure interesting. She no longer wants to stay in a stroller or shopping cart for much time. We had to take turns walking around different stores with her and trying to keep her entertained!! Supper was even more interesting....the little brat didn't nap very long like 20 mintues that day. We went for a early supper to Applebees and ended up leaving halfway through. Andrew took her to the car and I waited to get everything packed up. That was the 1st time that had a happened to us!! Otherwise she was so good, she slept very good and had fun in the pool with dad!!

Wedding Fun....

The last week has been pretty good....back to my normal work routine and busy chasing little miss Madison around the house. On Aug 10th my good friend Amanda and her husband had their 2nd child!! I am so happy for them. Thats the little guy up there!!

Last weekend we were happy to help celebrate friends getting married. I love going to weddings they are so much fun and we had a great time. The 3 married boys showing there rings happily!! I am so bad for not taking any pictures and the next day so a little annoyed with how little many I had taken. I didn't even get a good one of Andrew and I dressed up:(

Summer Fun

Its been a while since I have blogged. We have been very busy. We went camping a few days ago and Madison and Mya both had the times of there lives. The weather wasn't the greatest but it was nice and fun to get away for a few days. Madison has also been walking like crazy. The last week she finally started to walk more... she would fall down and get back up and start to walk again. Its so cute it watch her!!!

First Steps

About a week ago Madison took her 1st 2 steps on her own. We were in the kitchen and she was "helping" me put dishes in the dishwasher. I closed it up and she stood there standing on her own. Next thing I knew she was moving her legs trying to walk. She did 2 steps and than sat back down. I was in total shock and amazed!! Since going back to work I knew that there were going to be moments and 1st that I was going to miss and I was so happy that I was the 1st one to see it. Since than she has been doing more steps and more falls. Soon she is going to be walking everywhere. It has taken me a while to video her in action and I was finally able too!!

Zoo fun!

So we have been wanting to take Madison to the Calgary zoo for a while and we finally got a day to do it. We all had so much fun and the weather was great and it wasn't to busy. Madison really had a good time and really seemed to enjoy all the plants!!

Happy Father's Day

Madison is so lucky to have such a wonderful dad like Andrew. He is so loving and patient with her. I love to sit back and watch the 2 of them play together...it melts my heart. When it was time to go back to work we decided that we weren't going to send Madison to daycare and that Andrew would help watch her. I feel so good leaving the house in the morning and knowing that she is in such good hands. Thank-you so much for everything you do. Even though Andrew did have to work Sunday and wasn't able to sleep in he did get to spend a few hours with his baby girl. We love you!

I also wanted to say Happy Father's day to my wonderful dad. He has always been there for me and supported everything I have done. He is so good with Madison and would do anything for us. We love you Poppy!!

We are very lucky to have both set of parents a phone call away. And there have been times when I have called Andrew's dad over to help with something. Thanks for everything. We love you grandpa!!

All Done!!

So as you may remember we did the hardwood flooring and decided to paint. And its finally finished!!! The couch came in, have a new area rug and got some new accessories. Its still a work in process and I would say its about 75% done! It feels like after 2 years of living in the house its finally mine with my own personal touches to it. When we moved in there was 2 black "leather" couches upstairs and we had them included so we didn't have to buy any. It was nice at first but after a while it just didn't feel like mine.

This is the "nook".....a silly space above the closet in the front entrance. Andrew had decided that Spiderman and Superman belonged up there. Not anymore!!!!

New Friends

After having Madison a few friends told me to join the baby steps program. We would try and get together every few weeks with a different mom hosting the get togethers. I am so glad that we did cause we have meet some really great people and hopefully made lifelong friendships. The babies birthdays range from May to August so we decided to have one big birthday bash for them all. Each baby got there own gift to open and a cupcake (made by me!!) and a cluster of ballons with a toy attached.The birthday bash was so much fun and I am happy that it went well. It has been wonderful to spend the year with these wonderful moms and watch each baby grow. I hope that we can continue our get togethers and hopefully next year celebrate there 2nd birthdays!! Over the last year our group has grown adding new people all the time, we were very lucky to get in with such wonderful ladies.

One Year Gone

So its been a while since I last posted and I have so much to say but not sure what to say! Madison's 1st birthday has come and gone:( I can't believe that she is 1...where did the time go? So much has happened in the year and she has changed so much. I am wanting to push pause and slow things down and watch her grow, because before we know it we well be celebrating her 2nd birthday!!

My sister Miranda and her husband Darren said they would host her birthday party. What a wonderful job they did and we are so thankful to have them in our lives. I wanted to say thanks to the both of them and someday we well pay you back by hosting a birthday party for one of your kids!! Its so nice to get together with friends and family to celebrate happy times and make memories....sadly I didn't take any pictures but hope to get some from my brother. I would also like to thank everyone for coming to her parties and the wonderful gifts. We may be opening a small toy and clothing store and renting things out!! JOKES!!!!

Crazy House!

Crazy things are happening at the Gedrasik house!! We are getting new hardwood floors and painting the upstairs!! I am so looking forward to having the floors done and being able to get things back to normal. Madison and I have been staying at my parents house since Saturday because its so dusty and very loud.

Madison's 1st birthday to coming very soon so we had one of her birthday parties on Monday. Andrew's parents hosted the "event" and she had so much fun! Of course she got spoiled and she had some cake for the 1st time. At first she was more interested in playing and sticking her fingers in it and than wiping her hands on mom!

Puppy Love

We also have a wonderful dog named Mya. She is a lab/collie and is 3 years old. I was a little nervous when I was expecting to see what she would be like with the baby but she is great.
She is so good with Madison, she lets her crawl all over her, pull at her fur and lets Madison give her loves. Since Madison starting to crawl she has been able to "chase" Mya down. Mya puts up with it and just gives her kisses.
Madison is even nice enough her share her food with her. I am so happy that Mya is so loving to Madison and Madison so loving to Mya. They are going to be life long friends.
